This example shows use of the FCB1010 with DIRECT SELECT mode disabled, which means you access BANKS 00 to 09, then presets 1 through 10 within each bank.  We?ll select preset 2 in BANK 00 on the FCB1010 to select preset number 31  (called BANK 7, preset A) on the V-AMP 2 and control wah with EXP PEDAL A and volume with EXP PEDAL B.

Setting the V-AMP 2 to receive on MIDI channel 1:

1.Press the BANK UP and BANK DOWN ARROW buttons at the same time, and you?ll see the SETUP LED light up.

2. Press the A button (MIDI) to access the MIDI function on the V-AMP 2.

3. If the display shows 1 it means that the unit is already configured to receive and send data on MIDI channel 1.  If the display doesn't show a 1, use the ARROW buttons to set the value to 1.  Press the TUNER button to exit SETUP mode on the V-AMP 2.

Using GLOBAL SETUP mode on the FCB1010 to choose DIRECT SELECT disabled mode, and to transmit on MIDI channel 1:

1.
On the FCB1010, press and hold the DOWN switch during power-up to enter the GLOBAL SETUP mode.  The green DIRECT SELECT LED will be lit.

2. If the 10 switch LED is lit, press it so it isn't lit up, and then DIRECT SELECT mode will be disabled.

3. Press the UP switch to go to the next level, and the green MIDI FUNCTION LED in the GLOBAL CONFIGURATION portion of the display will start to flash.

4. When you press the 1 switch, it's LED will begin to flash, and 01 will appear in the display.
